Life in the Dormitory
GCIA strives to make student’s transition to life in the United States smooth and feel like a home away from home. Community is a big part of GCIA and we like to have fun together! Through celebrations, events, and team building GCIA is one happy family.
All student bedrooms are furnished with a bed and mattress, desk, chair, dresser, built-in closet, built-in sink with mirror, air conditioner, and heater. There are shared bathrooms on each of the student floors.
Students may add whatever decorations they like as long as nothing is damaged. Students have added rugs, pillows, bookcases, shoe racks, and more!
Student's friends, classmates, and family are welcome to visit. GCIA offers several common spaces students and visitors may make use of.
The Quiet Room has desks and tables for individual and group study. The Student Union has a pool table, air hockey table, and ping pong table, as well as seating areas, a TV, and other games and books. There is also a practice room with a piano. Laundry facilities are located in the basement with coin operated washers and dryers.
The dining hall is connected to the student kitchen, which has lots of cabinets for storing dishes and appliances. Students may store food and dishes here.
